The Islamic Medical Association of North America (IMANA) congratulates President-elect Obama and looks forward to a more compassionate health care system under Obama-Biden administration.
The IMANA shares President-elect Obama's passion for an inclusive health care system that is based on the philosophy that basic health care is a right of all Americans. As the economy deteriorates more and more Americans are at risk of losing access to health care. IMANA asks President-elect Obama to consider a robust partnership between government, health care industry and community based organizations to reform the health care system.
IMANA members who volunteer their time and services at no-cost or low-cost community based clinics are well aware of the importance of providing health care to millions of uninsured and under insured Americans. The informal community based health care system will benefit millions of Americans through an inclusive approach that is supported by all sectors of health care system and political persuasions.
